I was filling out a rather rigorous job application for DCPS. It’s great they are being thorough, and trying to bring in a certain caliber of teachers. But, the personality assessment made me wonder.
I mean, who would check strongly disagree on questions like, “I am flexible”? Would someone really check, agree a little to “I am lazy”?
Perhaps some people are just too honest for their own good. Others might not understand the boundaries between work and personal life. I was reminded of a first grade teacher I worked with in the beginning of my teaching career. She used the only computer we had in the classroom for personal email and instant messaging.
